Line Maintenance Controller

Vector Aircraft Services, on behalf of Air Charter Scotland (a customer) is seeking a Line Maintenance Controller to support aircraft based at Luton Airport and Biggin Hill Airport. The role involves supporting a mixed fleet of Citation, Embraer Legacy and G200 aircraft. 

Overview of the role:

To provide effective communication and liaison between and to Engineering and Operational areas ensuring maximum availability of company aircraft to meet the requirement of the flying programme by the minimising of down time through effective control of technical delays and cancellations, out of phase maintenance and line and deferred defects . 

Act as the company technical representative for major base maintenance inputs. 

The successful candidate will be:

  • An experienced and knowledgeable licensed maintenance engineer with at least 5 years recent experience of direct maintenance or in a Technical support role 
  • A pro-active individual who shows initiative and takes responsibility for their own decisions 
  • A good team-player who encourages feedback and is able to delegate and seek help when appropriate 
  • An effective and well-presented communicator both verbally and in writing
  • An analytical, problem solver who is able to quickly and accurately identify key issues 
  • A well organised planner who can follow rules and procedures An innovator who will thrive in a pressurized and dynamic environment and embraces change 
  • A professional and discreet operator focussed on the company and hence customer needs

Senior Position - Continuing Airworthiness & Technical Services

Vector Aircraft Services offers high standard Technical Consultancy and Continuing Airworthiness Services to commercial aircraft operators and business jet operators/owners. For continuing growth and development we are seeking a highly committed and experienced individual capable of delivering high standards of service.

The successful candidate will be customer focussed and possess sound practical knowledge of aircraft maintenance and EASA Part M and Part 145 requirements with at least 5 years experience in a management role within a commercial airline operation.  Experience in Part 145/Part M/EU OPS 1 Quality systems and auditing would be a distinct advantage. Specifically they will require:

  • Sound Technical knowledge coupled with commercial awareness
  • Well balanced and developed management skills
  • In depth knowledge of the costs of aircraft maintenance and support
  • Experience in completing aircraft and documentation surveys and compiling technical reports
  • Sound working knowledge of Maintenance programme development and reliability systems

Technical Services

Experienced and highly motivated individuals required who have the ability to use their own initiative in the production and delivery of high quality support to our customers.

Suitable personnel should posses an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer’s License or have gained a degree in Aeronautical Engineering. Essentially the candidates experience should be from positions held within an airline environment or from a MRO organisation. Additionally those applying must be willing to travel within UK and overseas.

Technical Records and Planning

Industrious individuals required who possess a desire to work within the Aviation industry and are capable of working and developing within a team environment. Suitable personnel will be able to handle and deliver detailed and accurate Aircraft Technical Records whilst working along side our Technical Services personnel thereby providing a high quality product to our customers.

Suitable personnel will possess excellent communication and PC skills and a basic knowledge of the Microsoft Office Package especially Excel and Word. Experience of the OASES software package would be advantageous but not essential.
